The Elections

 

The elections, held in October 2004, were the first in New Zealand and also were the first to use the Meek rules for a public election.

Some problems were encountered in producing the results, although the counting software itself worked flawlessly.

Below is a table of the election data collected by myself. The entries marked FD in the final column were those for which complete information is available. The results of running different counting rules with this data is available via the data base here.
